The Jozani Natural Forest Reserve is located in the central east region of Zanzibar island and hosting the rare Red Colobus Monkey. These monkeys are free and friendly roam freely where cab be seen at very close quarters just outside the reserve’s outskirts and are extremely photogenic. Jozani forest host also other species like Syke’s monkey’s, small buck and bush-pigs. Leopard are believed also to exist at Jozani forest where last sited several years ago and said to take food during the night. This is probably associated with reserve accessibility during the day only.
